ABOUT ME
What to expect
With a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from University of New Orleans, I decided to pursue my Masters in school counseling. Upon graduation from Nicholls State University in 2013 with my Masters, I began working in New Orleans and the surrounding areas with children, adolescents and adults on a broad range of mental and behavioral health concerns. I spent two years in a school capacity working with unaccompanied youth who are some of the most resilient humans I have ever had the privilege to come into contact with. Since this time, I have become a Licensed Professional Counselor and have opened a private practice where my focus is on helping individuals and couples who struggle with relationships, stress and anxiety. Based on my experiences, my counseling approach has become eclectic. Each individual and couple is different, has unique needs and their own way of responding to counseling. While my focus is on mindfulness and cognitive techniques, I incorporate kinetic energy into therapy as much as possible. I love taking traditional therapy sessions to a more natural setting like the beautiful parks in our area and witnessing firsthand the positive effects physical exercise has on your mind and body. Together, we will utilize expertise, knowledge and experiences to tap into your inner strength and tailor the sessions to fit your needs.
Beginning therapy

I use an array of counseling techniques to provide you with the tools you need for success. In addition to 1-on-1 sessions, I offer couples and family sessions. I also offer walk and talk sessions in the community which is a favorite among anyone who has experienced trauma, moms with young children, or those that want to begin their fitness journey. Mindfulness based
Using formal and informal mindfulness techniques, we will explore ways to move towards acceptance and a more balanced, fulfilling and peaceful lifestyle. After several sessions, you will become well-versed at handling issues whenever and wherever they arise because you will have a better understanding of your emotional patterns, triggers and ways of responding.
